DanceSport is also known as competitive ballroom dancing, where male and female athletes pair up to compete together in its two distinct styles: Standard and Latin. Adding up to 10 different dances: Waltz,Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, Quickstep are under Standard Dances; while Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive are under Latin Dances. Each dance has its own characteristics and rhythmic timing. Athletes should dance anticlockwise and dance through central line.
