MAIGOC holds the General Assembly of Shareholders Ordinary meeting 2007-09-05 18:34  MAIGOC


  Presided by President ofthe General Assembly and Macao SAR representative Dr. Fernando Chui Sai On, theMacau 2007, 2nd Asian Indoor Games Organising Committee (MAIGOC)General Assembly of Shareholders Ordinary meeting was convened yesterday (30Mar) at 11a.m., at the MAIGOC Headquarters.

  Participating shareholdersinclude representative of the Sports Development Fund, representative of theMacau Olympic Committee, Board of Directors Chairman, all Directors, members ofthe Fiscal Committee and government representatives.

  At the meeting, theshareholders acclaimed the successful execution of the hosting of the 1stLusofonia Games, and unanimously approved the 2006 Financial Execution Reportand the Planning Report for 2007.MAIGOC2006 overall financial balance has not exceeded the budgeted amount accountedlast year.

  Focus of the 2007 planningreport discussions has been on the 2nd Asian Indoor Games to behosted between 26 October and 3 November this year.

  At the conclusion of themeeting, the President of the General Assembly and Macao SAR representativeemphasized to all present that the most important responsibility and work toaccomplish is the measures to be taken to ensure the success of the 2ndAsian Indoor Games.It is through thissuccess that experiences will be garnished to enhance the international image ofMacao.

  In responding to allshareholders, Chairman of the Board of Directors pledged that MAIGOC and allits personnel are fully committed, to the work, to be positively motivated andto build the team spirit, and again achieve the greatest success for Macau, and the pride of its citizens.

  “We have just concludedthe OCA Auditing session this week. In the coming week on the 1stand 4th April, MAIGOC will move on to the Macau 2007, 2ndAsian Indoor Games Medical and Anti-Doping Coordination Meeting and the 3rdMeeting of the OCA Coordination Committee for the Macau 2007, 2ndAsian Indoor Games respectively,” explained Manuel Silvério.

  He also remarked “the activitiesof MAIGOC are progressing on schedule and in a very satisfactory manner, whichis necessary to guarantee for the success of the Games.”
