  The Macao 2nd Asian Indoor Games Organising Committee, Limited (MAIGOC) was established on 17 May 2004 in accordance with the Chief Executive Dispatch. Starting operations on 2 August of the same year, MAIGOC was charged with the responsibility of organizing the 2nd Asian Indoor Games and other related activities during the period. Under the framework ‘one cadre, three brands’, MAIGOC was not only responsible for organizing the 2nd Asian Indoor Games, but also for undertaking the mission of holding the 4th East Asian Games in 2005 and the 1st Lusofonia Games in 2006 in addition. Thus, it becomes a team which is full of experience in multi-sports event meets.

  The Macao 2nd Asian Indoor Games Organising Committee, also known as MAIGOC, is mainly responsible for the overall planning, preparing, promoting and coordinating of the 2nd Asian Indoor Games. In particular, these activities include designing the emblem and mascot of the Games, confirming the sports programme, conceiving and producing the opening and closing ceremonies, ensuring each competition venue is up to international standard, arranging catering services, accommodation and transportation arrangements for sport delegation teams and VIPs, carrying out various promotional activities before the Games, training personnel to perform different tasks and be prepared for overseas media correspondents who travel to Macao to cover the festivity during the period.
