Yesterday (3 July) at its headquarters Macau Olympic Committee (MOC)called for the 2nd coordination meeting of Macao sport delegationfor the 15th Doha Asian Games.In the meeting, MOC explained the arrangements on accreditation, entryby number, medical and transportation service.In addition, they also introduced the Doha Torch Relay which takes placeon 26 October this year in Macao.
Attendees include Chef-de-mission of Macao sport delegation for the 15thDoha Asian Games Manuel Silvério, Deputy Chefs-de-mission Charles Lo and Fredérico Nolasco da Silva, aswell as the representatives of the participating sports associations.
Through the meeting, MOC hopes the sports associations could furtherunderstand the procedures of accreditation and entry by number so that they canhand in the accreditation forms and entry by number forms before the deadlineson 17 July and 7 August. Considering the fact that Macao sport delegation for the coming AsianGames will be the biggest in size over the previous ones, and to meet themedical demands, MOC has decided to add one medical team member to each of the11 sport teams, including the teams of wrestling, ball games and bicycle. Inthe meeting, arrangements related to accreditation and accommodation for mediawere also introduced in details.
The Doha Torch Relay in Macaowill commence at 3pm on 26 October, starting at the Lotus Square and ending up at the Senate Square.Local athletes, celebrities, MOC members and famousfigures in local sports circle will be invited as torch bearers. Besides, localassociations will send all together 10 athletes who are going to partake in theDoha Asian Games to compose an escort team for the relay.
