Yesterday (25) in the Beijing trip to attend the “CCTV Sports Personality of the Year 2005” Awards Ceremony, MAIGOC Chairman of the Board of Directors Manuel Silvério paid an courtesy visit to CCTV (China Central Television) President Zhao Huayong.
On behalf of MEAGOC as the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Manuel Silvério expressed his gratitude to Zhao Huayong for establishing the “CCTV Sports Personality of the Year 2005” as a platform for mainland citizens and professionals to directly express their support for the 4th East Asian Games. In addition, he also expressed thankfulness to CCTV professional and high quality broadcast production for the 4th East Asian Games. Through CCTV’s extensive coverage, the world has know and gained better understanding of Macau from the Games. Zhao Huayong congratulated Manuel Silvério on his award, and emphasized that the “CCTV Sports Personality of the Year 2005” has revealed general opinion and professional judgement. The election undergoes strict processes, and therefore it is a very good start for Macau to be elected. Zhao Huayong also mentioned the future hosting of the 1st Lusofonia Games and the 2nd Asian Indoor Games in Macau, CCTV will continue to work tightly with Macau, to accomplish the promotional and TV broadcasting taskes for the two Games.
