MOC joins OCA meetings in Guangzhou 2005-09-08  MAIGOC

  The president of the Macau Olympic Committee, Eddie Laam, will lead the MOC delegation to Guangzhou to participate in Olympic Council of Asia meetings on September 8-9.

  The MOC president is accompanied by the first and second vice presidents, Manuel Silverio and Ma Iao Hang, respectively, treasurer Frederico Nolasco da Silva, executive committee members Pau Ma Chong and Antonio Fernandes, the director of international relations and marketing, Isabel da Silva, and MOC accounts committee rapporteur Pedro Chau.

  On the first day of the gathering, Thursday, the delegates will take part in meetings of the OCA Executive Committee and of the general secretaries, and on the second day in the 24th general assembly of the OCA.

  During the visit to the capital of Guangdong province, the Macau group will take the opportunity to visit the venues for the 16th Asian Games, which Guangzhou will host in 2010.

  On the last day, OCA president Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah will receive the Macau delegates at a farewell cocktail party, followed by a dinner hosted by the Asian Games Organising Committee of Guangzhou. The MOC delegates will return to Macau on Saturday, September 10.
