As the day started at the II Asian Indoor Games Main Media Centre, located in the Hotel Headquarters Venetian Macao Resort Hotel the Organizing Committee news desk team collected some opinions on the Media Services provided during the Games.
More than 900 media professionals were accredited to the Games and the MPC provided several services such as, working room's fully equipped with computers, printers and wireless internet connection, press conference room, media lounge, photo's online, telecommunications services, daily results and start lists, Live Broadcast of the Games in a LED Screen, among many others. At the venues the media professionals also encountered the Tribunes were they could watch the games and work at the same time.
John Burgess, 61, an English TV Sports Commentator who has been working on big events such as Olympic Games and World Cup Soccer, told us that this is his first time he’s working on Asian Indoor Games. Previously he worked during the Manchester United Football Friendly Match against Shenzhen Xiangxue Eisiti FC this summer in Macau, John is back here again for the Asian Indoor Games.
“The opening (ceremony) was a blast,” said John Burgess, “and the Press Centre is just great, fabulous” showing energy and enthusiasm for what he has been doing for half of his life.
On the other hand, Nutthagun Phermphoohsopthawee, 29, a journalist of a Sports magazine from Thailand showed his satisfaction on the event.
“The Press Centre is very useful. Compared to those of other countries, it is really an exciting place. It's all good, cool space, and they even provide free battery charger for mobile!”
Nutthagun admitted that although this is his first time to be in Macau, he likes it here because people are nice and it seems there are lots going on.
