Yesterday, the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Fernando Chui Sai On attended the 51st OCA Executive Board Meeting. He noted that the Macao SAR Government believes the 2nd Asian Indoor Games will have a very positive influence on the development of Macao's sports tourism, culture and sport development. The Games has provided a good opportunity for all participators to understand each other and develop a further friendship.
On behalf of the Macao SAR Government, Secretary Fernando Chui Sai On extended the warmest welcome to all the OCA Executive Board members presented and expressed his gratitude for their trust on Macao, which offered a chance for Macao to host the important sports meet for the Asian region. Being the host city of the 2nd Asian Indoor Games, Macao SAR Government has made an overall coordination and mobilized an extensive participation for the Games. With the support from the different government departments, private and business organizations, and especially the volunteers, the Games runs smoothly and has become a memorable edition of the Asian Indoor Games.
OCA expects the 2nd Asian Indoor Games can promote the Asian conventional events and bring in new and popular events.
Fernando Chui Sai On said Macao understands that sports would help people to express themselves and communicate with others in a healthy and positive way.
He believes that the 2nd Asian Indoor Games not only brings the spectacular competitions in Macao, but also provides a great opportunity to Macao people and Asian people to have a mutual understanding and mutual study. Furthermore, builds up the precious friendship and share the local customs and practices of Macao to all Asian people.
