Dance for Gold

As the 2 day competition ended for Dancesport at the Macau Forum China claimed 6 of the 12 gold medals when they made its Asian Indoor Games debut on Saturday. China won six and Japan four as the competitors added a dash of sparkle and razzmatazz to the proceedings.

The floor dance full of energy and glamour was dominated by athletes from China, Japan, Kazakhstan and Thailand who danced away the medals in a two days event.

China won 6 medals in Samba, Rumba, Tango, Five Standard Dances, Waltz and Slow Foxtrot. As Japan took the lead in Quickstep, Paso Doble, Jive and Five Latin Dances, Kazakhstan grabbed the Gold in Viennese Waltz and Cha-Cha-Cha and Thailand remained with one Bronze medal in Rumba.
