The 2nd Asian Indoor Games will unveil its glamorous opening ceremony this evening. Chief Executive Edmund Ho showed his warm welcome by hosting a welcome dinner last night to all of the NOC members of OCA which are now gathering in Macao, after the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the exhibition booths during the 2nd Asian Indoor Games to promote ACOLOP and a series of upcoming sporting meets to be held respectively in Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Indonesia.
Outside the Main Press Center at The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, which is the Headquarters Hotel of the 2nd Asian Indoor Games, the 6 exhibition booths that were kicked off yesterday are for the purposes of the Beijing 2008 Olympics Games, Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games, Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games, Vietnam 2009 Asian Indoor Games, Bali 2008 Asian Beach Games and the Association of Portuguese Speaking Olympic Committees (ACOLOP).
Chief Executive Edmund Ho visited the Main Press Center of the 2nd Asian Indoor Games after the ribbon-cutting, who was accompanied by Mr. Chen Qiming, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government, Mr. Wan Yongxiang, Commissioner of the Office of the Commissioner of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Dr. Fernando Chui Sai On, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Hu Jiayan, deputy director of the State General Administration of Sport of China, Mr. Mark Brown, President of Sands Macao and The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel, Mr. Vandy Pun, CEO of CTM, Mr. Manuel Silvério, Chairman of MAIGOC, and Mr. Eddie Lam Wah Ying, President of Macao Olympic Committee.
