Macao 2nd Asian Indoor Games Organising Committee will hold the Information Technology System Joint Test today (28 September). All IT parties including over 100 IT staff work for the Games attended the Coordination Meeting yesterday (27 September) at MAIGOC Headquarters. Explanation about the coordination and operation plan used during the testing period was announced, participating units and staff were also encouraged to offer dedicated efforts in smoothly operating the Information Technology System Joint Test for the Games.
The operation of Information Technology of the Games is the cooperation between different parties, MAIGOC staff, as well as the Official Telecommunications Partner CTM and programming systems and facilities suppliers will play a very important role on ensuring the quality of information transfer during the Games. Chairman of MAIGOC Manuel Silvério, the Director of Sport Information Technology Service Centre of General Administration of Sport of China Zhao Li, Chief Executive Officer of CTM Vandy Poon and senior officers from other suppliers attended the Meeting yesterday, showing their expectation on the Test. The parties explained the overall plan for the Joint Test during the Meeting, encouraged the staff to work well on the Test in order to achieve success in the operation of Information Technology during the Games.
Director Zhao referred that Information Technology played a very important role on modern sport meets, and the joint tests are regarded as important preparation works leading to these events, so as to find out the problems in advance and immediately assign methods to follow up and solve the problems.
Chairman of MAIGOC Manuel Silvério thanked Director Zhao kindly participated at the Meeting in Macao for guiding and encouraging the Information Technology working team of MAIGOC, he also indicated that the Joint Test to be held today (28 September) as an important contribution in Information Technology. The coordination between software and facilities, equipment and personnel, as well as personnel themselves can be better achievement through the operation of the Joint Test, to find out the problems through practices and adjust them. On behalf of technique and preparation, the Test can ensure the quality of the Information Technology System utilized in October during the Games Period.
Chief Executive Officer of CTM Vandy Poon and Chairman of MAIGOC Manuel Silvério both mentioned that they are very confident of doing well in the installation of the Information Technology and the relevant work for the 2nd Asian Indoor Games due to the cooperation experience between MAIGOC and CTM.
The General Engineer Lin Weiqian and the Project Manager Ou Yangbo of Beijing Aoshi Sports Tech. Co. Ltd., which is the sub-contractor of Sport Information Technology Service Centre of General Administration of Sport of China, is responsible for the exploration of the Timing and Scoring System, Result Management System and the screen subtitles for the 2nd Asian Indoor Games, also attended yesterday’s Meeting. 19 IT staff from MAIGOC and 80 personnel from suppliers will participate in the Test.
