Macao 2nd Asian Indoor Games Organising Committee (MAIGOC) announced the arrangement of competition and ticketing yesterday (27 September), 74 well-known athletes, champions of Asian and world sport events, as well as top teams will appear in the 9-day Games, from 26 October to 3 November. Chairman of MAIGOC Manuel Silvério announced that at this stage 45 National Olympic Committees with totally 3575 athletes and team officials have already been accredited for the Games, the number of participants may increase by this week if the approval by Olympic Council of Asia and the sport management organizations for the relevant sport events is released.
The tickets of the 2nd Asian Indoor Games take the form of Games Pass to be given out free, public is welcomed to get the Games Pass at the distribution points. One Games Pass is available for watching competitions of the 20 sport events within the 9-day Sporting Program.
Free Passes given out today with total prizes valued MOP 100,000.00 lucky draw activity
Tickets of the opening ceremony have been all distributed within 5 hours two weeks ago, and today MAIGOC started ticketing service and distribution of Games pass until the end of 2AIG. Maximum of 6 Games Passes per person at the Macao Stadium - Box Office (Taipa), 5 CTM Shops and 3 Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Official Souvenir Shops (Shops at Macau Tourism and Cultural Activities Centre, Ruins of St. Paul and Macau Fisherman’s Wharf). Public can also get passes at the distribution counters at all venue entrances during the Games. Pass holders are entitled to watch all competitions with free seating except the Opening and Closing ceremony.
MAIGOC introduced a lucky draw activity for the ticket holders of the Opening Ceremony and competition passes. MAIGOC and the prize suppliers will sponsor a total of MOP 100,000.00 valued prizes, including MOP 60,000.00 prizes for ticket holders of the Opening Ceremony and MOP 40,000.00 prizes for Pass holders in competition.
For the Opening Ceremony lucky draw, the official Partner and Headquarters Hotel “Venetian Macao Resort Hotel” will sponsor a two-night accommodation in one deluxe Bella/Royale Suite, Gondola ride for two, Chef's Signature Dinner for two at Canton, and round trip jetfoil ride for two from Hong Kong to the Cotai Strip™ on board the CotaiJet. CTM – the Official Partner for Telecommunications will sponsor a mobile phone with 12 months free basic 3G airtime. Prizes sponsored by Air Macau - Official Sponsor are two economy class round trip tickets between Macau and Bangkok and another two same class tickets between Macau and Beijing. MAIGOC will give out gift pack of the 2nd Asian Indoor Games Commemorative Medal Set. There will be a total of 9 lucky winners.
Prizes for the Games Pass lucky draw include a mobile phone with 12 months free basic 3G airtime sponsored by CTM, two separate economy class round trip tickets between Macau-Bangkok and Macau-Beijing sponsored by Air Macau, and 3 gift packs of the 2nd Asian Indoor Games commemorative Mei Mei Pin Set sponsored by MAIGOC, to be distributed to 10 winners. The 2nd Asian Indoor Games will be hosted in Macao China, from 26 Oct to 3 Nov. The trendy, high appeal and exciting sporting program consists of 17 competing sports and 3 demonstration sports, such as Aerobic Gymnastics, Bowling, Chess, Sport Billiards, Sport Dance, Dragon and Lion Dance, Electronic Sports, Extreme Sports, Finswimming, Futsal, Hoop Sepaktakraw, Indoor Athletes, Indoor Cycling (Artistic Cycling and Cycle Ball), Indoor Hockey, Kabaddi, Muay, Short Course Swimming and 3 demonstration sports – Kickboxing, Kurash and 3on3 Basketball.
