The Macao2nd Asian Indoor Games Organising Committee (MAIGOC) held a “2AIG60-Day Countdown Ceremony and Uniform Fashion Show” at the Leal Senado Square yesterday night (27Aug) at 7p.m... The display of Gamesuniforms amply announces that preparations for the Games are ready. Morepromotional activities are scheduled in the next 60 days leading up to theOpening of the Asian Indoor Games， including the 30-day countdown on 26 September.
Secretary for Social Affairs & Culture Dr.Fernando Chui Sai On presided the ceremonies with other guests in attendance， witnessedthe prolog to 60-day countdown of 2AIG.Localsingers Samtry， German Ku， Sun Fong Meng and Vanessa energetic performance ofthe 2AIG Anthem - “Winner” led the crowd into the enthusiasm of the Games. Demonstration of sports in the 2AIG programwas another highlight in the celebration， attracting residents and touristspacking the Leal Senado Square.
The fiesta was heat upin the final session of the rundown – the Games Uniform Fashion Show by 2AIG OfficialSponsor Li-Ning Company Limited. The stage at the city’scentre gave way to the debut appearance of the 2AIG Official Uniform.Designated to fit out ten categories of staff and participants， the uniforms were displayedby models at the countdown celebration.
MAIGOC Director for Cultural Event Eric Chau noted，“The 60-day countdown implies that our committee is two more months from theGames in terms of preparations. Through this event， along with the Gamesuniform show which was integrated with solemn， vigor and energy， we want totell the public that all preparation works are ready.MAIGOC will carry on with a grand new postureto host a modern and fashionable Asian Indoor Games.” After holding the 60-daycountdown activity， another important promotional activity， 30-day countdownceremony， will be held on 26 September (Friday.)
The uniforms displayedat the fashion show were designed and provided by the flagship Li-Ning brand.Li-Ning Company Limited will outfit staff， officials， media and over 10，000volunteers of the Games with 50，000 special designed sports suits and uniforms.Assistant Manager of Li Ning Brand Sport Marketing Department Ding Li stressedthat apart from conventional sporting event elements， Li Ning designers havealso add in youthful and popular elements in designing the 2AIG uniforms. Thisis to compliment to the innovative concept of the 2nd Asian Indoor Games. Mr.Ding Li stated， “On this special occasion of 60-day countdown to the Games， weare all anticipating for the enthusiasm of the Opening of the Games. As theexclusive Sportswear Apparel Sponsor Li Ning is dedicated to fully supportMAIGOC in the hosting of the Asian Indoor Games.”
