“Macau 2007, Asian Electronic Sports (E-Sports) Invitation Tournament” Ran Smooth

  The warm up event of “Macau 2007, Asian Electronic Sports (E-Sports) Invitation Tournament Competition” organized by Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and Macao 2nd Asian Indoor Games Organising Committee (MAIGOC) was formally held at the Macao East Asian Games Dome yesterday. The tournament ran smoothly and reached the purpose of practicing and testing the organization capabilities of E-Sports Competition.

  During yesterday’s tournament, both Chinese athletes Liu Xingting and Chen Lei won their opponents overwhelmingly in “Need for Speed TM Most Wanted” and “NBA Live 2007” respectively. Mongolia athlete Byambasuren Lkhagvasurejn ranked first in the “FIFA 2007” robin by 2:1.

  About 40 athletes, team managers and officials from 3 countries – China, Kuwait and Mongolia – were invited to Macao to participate in the E-Sports Invitation Tournament. To ensure athletes of E-Sports can compete professionally during the 2nd Asian Indoor Games, the organizer is taking full opportunity to train referees and officials through this invitation tournament. The remaining 3rd place game and final competition of the E-Sports Invitation Tournament Competition will be held at 9:30 and 14:00 today (19th Aug).
