The Macao Consumer Council and Macao 2nd Asian Indoor Games Organising Committee (MAIGOC) held a launching ceremony at the entrance of the Barrier Gate Building yesterday (19 July), to signify supports of local certified shops to the 2nd Asian Indoor Games. The ceremony was presided by MAIGOC Chairman Manuel Silvério and the President of the Executive Committee of Macao Consumer Council Alexandre Ho. A promotional video of the 2AIG was shown on the big LED screen installed at the entrance of the building, and Asian Indoor Games posters were given out to the general public.
In expectation of the massive visitors to Macao during the Games period, MAIGOC is collaborating with the Consumer Council to reinforce the promotional effect of the 2nd Asian Indoor Games through intensive message release on the LED screen at the Barrier Gate Building. Additionally, to showcase Macao as a high-quality tourism and shopping city, the Consumer Council will also prepare and distribute special 2AIG Emblem printed posters and stickers to the local shops and provide them with Games related guidelines and training courses in the area of hospitality.
Considering that the Barrier Gate Building is a place where large number of people flow in and out of Macao everyday, MAIGOC believes the 2AIG promotional video will enhance a greater effect on the public. Furthermore, distributing posters and hospitality guidelines to the certified shops will not only encourage Macao citizens to hearty welcome the foreign participants to the Games, but also to heat up the city’s support for the upcoming 2AIG.
