The26th OCA General Assembly meeting convened yesterday (26th)in Kuwait.Representatives of OCA member NOCs from 45 countries and regions approvedvarious issues at the General Assembly， and also elected for the 2007-2011 OCA ExecutiveBoard and standing committees.ManuelSilvério renewed his post as Vice President of OCAand was elected Chairman of the OCA Media Committee. In addition，Silvério will continueto assume his responsibilities as member of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games CoordinationCommittee.
OCA PresidentSheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah in his speech thanked for the support from allNOCs to outgoing Executive Board. The Sheikh also presented award of OCA MeritAwards to Doha 2006 15th Asian Games Organizing Committee (DAGOC)，Changchun 2007， 6thAsian Winter Games Organizing Committee (CAWGOC) and outstanding members of the Executive Boardand of the NOCs.
During the meeting， DAGOCand CAWGOC presented theirGames Official reports. Organizing committees of Asian Games in the next fiveyears also presented their progress reports， including which are the “Guangzhou2010， 16th Asian Games，” the “Almaty 2011， 7th AsianWinter Games，” the “Macau 2007， 2nd Asian Indoor Games，” the “Bali2008， the 1st Beach Game，” the “Vietnam 2009， 3rd AsianIndoor Games，” and the “Oman 2010， 2nd Beach Games.”
OCAVice President Manuel Silvériointroduced to all present the preparations for the 2nd Asian IndoorGames to be held this October.He pledgesfor support from all 45 countries and regions NOCs， and their active participationin the sport events and activities organized for the Games. He highlighted thatthe objective of the Asian Indoor Games is to popularize unique Asian sports，as to attract teenagers to sport practices and to promote sport for all.
Afterthat， the General Assembly approved the reports submitted by the SportsCommittee， the Finance Committee， the Medical Committee， and the AthletesCommittee. Furthermore， representatives of the Beijing Organizing Committee forthe Games of the XXIX Olympiad and Olympic Solidarity Fund introduced theiroperations to the attendees.
Yesterday，OCA signed the Host City Contract with Oman Olympic Committee. In addition， Doha will host the 4thAsian Indoor Games in 2011.
TheGeneral Assembly will be extended to today， during the Host Cityof the 2014 Asian Games will be elected. At the moment， the Bidding Cities areIncheon of Korea and New Delhi of India.
