Manuel Silvério arrived Kuwait early yesterday (14/04) morning to participate in the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Finance Committee meeting held later that day.
Chairman of the OCA Finance Committee Dr. Chang Feng-Shui presided the meeting in which concluded the Marketing for the 15th Doha Asian Games, reviewed the OCA Marketing Guidelines, and also approved the Auditing Report for the 2006 Financial Statement. Although the Qatari market is limited in scale, the Committee recognized the achievements of OCA on the marketing side.
The Finance Committee also remarked that with the rapid economic growth and sizeable market of China, the 16th Asian Games to be hosted in Guangzhou in 2010 is expecting for much better marketing results.
Also in attendance at the meeting are OCA Secretary General Raja Randhir Singh, OCA Director General Husain Al-Musallam and all members of the OCA Finance Committee. The OCA Rules Committee has also convened a meeting today. As for tomorrow, members of the Executive Board will meet at the 48th Executive Board Meeting.
Manuel Silvério has completed his tenure as Deputy-Chairman of the OCA Finance Committee.
