Before the OCA Coordination Committee Meeting for the 2ndAsian Indoor Games took place in Macao， the 3rdCoordination Committee Meeting for the 16th Asian Games was alreadyconducted in Guangzhouon 3 April.
The OCA CoordinationCommittee for the Guangzhou Asian Games is chaired by Tsunekazu Takeda，President of Japanese Olympic Committee， and the members include SecretaryGeneral of OCA Raja Randhir Singh， Chairman of OCA Sports Committee WeiJizhong， Director General of OCA Husain Al-Musallam， Chairperson of OCA Womenand Sports Committee Natalya Sipovich and heads of Medical and Doping ControlCommittee.Also， among them is the VicePresident and Financial Committee member of OCA， Manuel Silvério， who has justappointed as a member of the Coordination Committee.
The meeting was chaired by Tsunekazu Takeda.He considered the Guangzhou Asian Games asanother OCA multisport event hosted by Chinaafter the Changchun6th Asian Winter Games， and he expected close collaboration withGAGOC will ensure the successful organization of the Guangzhou Asian Games.
In the meeting， Gu Shiyang， Deputy Secretary General of GuangzhouMunicipal Government and GAGOC presented a report on the preparation for theGames.In-depth discussions were alsocarried out between the parties on the master plan， competition set ups，information technology， Main Media Centre， Games venues， OCA HeadquartersHotel， Asian Games Village，transportation， medical and anti-doping services and protocol， which hasreceived common consensus.
Participants at the meetinginclude Deputy Director General of General Administration of Sport of China andVice President of Chinese Olympic Committee (COC) Yu Zaiqing， Vice Mayor ofGuangzhou Municipality and Executive Deputy Secretary General of GAGOC XuRuisheng， Secretary General of COC Gu Yaoming， Deputy Director General ofGuangdong Provincial Sports Administration Ye Xiquan， Deputy Secretaries Generalof GAGOC Liu Jiangnan and Ma Esheng.This meeting is the second Coordination Committee Meeting held for theGuangzhou Asian Games after 7 November of last year.The next meeting will be hosted in Guangzhou before thecommencement of the Macau 2007， 2nd Asian Indoor Games with a 3-daysite inspection
